I was incubated under the lamplight of Appalachian Folk, Gospel, and Blues music in Southeastern Virginia. As a young guitarist, I quickly latched onto the blues tradition which led me to the art of honest lyricism. With my family tree being practically comprised of musical instruments, there was no hope but for me to learn the art of musical expression.
In 2013 I graduated with a Masters in Theology and Art from Fuller Theological Seminary. Thus influenced, my poetry is earthy and lofty at once. Mixing life's ultimate concerns with its simplest pleasures: such as life after death and chocolate cake, I try to weave stories and experiences into each song with striking but simple melodies.
My 2015 album CAVACO can be found on iTunes, Spotify and Bandcamp.
